Da Lat animated with big events

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and People’s Committee of Lam Dong Province have ratified the organization of 4 big events in Da Lat in the end of 2013. 

The plan includes the first UNESCO Vietnam – ASEAN Heritage Festival, the 120th anniversary of the establishment of Da Lat City, the fifth annual Da Lat Flower Festival and the announcement of 2014 National Tourism Year in Central Highland – Da Lat.

Within the framework of the events, there are many highlights such as Conference on UNESCO Heritage Network in Asia: Preservation with Stable Development, performance of UNESCO Intangible Heritages of Vietnam – ASEAN, talk on Da Lat Flowers and Tourism, and Economic forum: Da Lat – Lam Dong, Potentials and Opportunities, ect.

The People’s Committee of Ninh Thuan Province has completed the plan of 2013 Ethnic Cultural Festival of the Ragla, which will be organized from August 28 to 31 this year. The festival will welcome the attendance of about 500 artisans, actors and actresses from 4 provinces, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong. The main activities in the event includes art and Raglai traditional customs performances, talks on culture of the Raglai and exhibition on Raglai Culture.

Ninh Thuan province will host the first cultural festival for Raglai ethnic people in Bac Ai district from August 29-31.

Bánh xèo – a deep-fried pancake stuffed with pork, shrimps, hulled mung beans and bean sprouts – is a popular dish in Ho Chi Minh City that attracts a great number of  the local and foreigners. 

The Islamic Cham people in the central province of Binh Thuan officially launched a month-long festival to welcome their Ramuwan (New Year) festival on July 7. 

With the theme of High Mountains and Thick Forests of the Central Highlands, National Tourism Year 2014 will include 45 events, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
