Day 2: Ho Chi Minh – Tay Ninh – Cu Chi (Breakfast/Lunch)

Today, leave the vibrant city to its outskirt, which promises exciting discoveries. Enjoy the first trip across the typical southern countryside to Tay Ninh province in the western regions of Vietnam. Paying the visit to the center of Caodaism, you will certainly be mesmerized by the multi-colored architecture of Cao Dai temple. After having lunch at a local restaurant, continue the trip to the Cu Chi tunnels, the vestiges of the American war, and an underground tunnel system created by the Vietnamese resistance soldiers during a long time struggling for independence. Come back to Ho Chi Minh in the late afternoon.

In the morning, commence the exploration in Mekong Delta region. The first spot is in Vinh Long and visit the My Thuan suspension bridge en route. Reaching the province, take a boat trip on the Mekong River to the Cai Be floating market, a typical bustling trade center on water of southern people. Continue the tour to a small canal of An Binh islet and visit a ceramic tile factory, coconut candy workshop and a rice husking business together with the famous Bonsai of gardener Sau Giao. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh in the late afternoon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

In the morning, enjoy leisure time until transferring to the airport for a flight to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. Start the journey with the boat trip on the romantic Perfume River to visit the most famous religious site in Hue, Thien Mu Pagoda. Continue the trip with the next stop at the Tombs of the former Emperors Ming Mang and Khai Dinh, constructed as the king himself in the middle of a pine forest. The rest time of the day is for relaxation. Overnight in Hue hotel.

On the way, admire the picturesque view of Lang Co, a peaceful fishing village, which is strikingly charming for any photographer. On arrival, come to visit the Cham museum, the best collection of Cham artifacts in the world. Proceed the trip to Hoi An, with a drop in Marble Mountain, a large garden mount complex, a precious gift of Mother Nature recognized as Vietnamese national heritage. The morning is welcomed with a visit to Tra Que, a beautiful village which is the main vegetables supplier for the whole town. Experience the daily work with the villagers and they will show you how to harvest and prepare fresh vegetables. This morning tour offers the chance to learn how to cook Vietnamese dishes with the hosts before enjoying local fruit of your labor. In the afternoon, take a nice walking tour to the center of this old town visiting Tan Ki Old House, 400-year-old Japanese Covered bridge, ancient pagodas and temples as well as colorful markets with shopping time available.

The morning will start with a visit to the Complex of Ho Chi Minh including Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, the House on Stilts, Ho Chi Minh Museum and One Pillar Pagoda. Commence the bay discovery with a 4-hour boat trip to explore numerous interesting shapes of islands with splendid caves such as Thien Cung Cave, which is famous for its stalagmites and stalactites. Dau Go Cave  must be also impressive not only for its charming beauty but also conveying historical meaning, which is that the cave was the place in 1228, one of the most famous generals of Vietnam, Tran Hung Dao, amassed hundreds of stakes deep inside the cave prior to a battle with an invading Mogul army.
