In the morning, start visiting Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, a busting, dynamic but beautiful and friendly city of Vietnam. The firs outstanding spots are the War Remnants Museum - one of the most famous history museums, the colonial Notre Dame Cathedral - a French-built cathedral occupying scenic Paris Square in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Old Saigon Post Office. We should not miss the chance to visit Ben Thanh Market, a bustling market in the daytime and a social center after sunset. After lunch, you pay a visit to one of the must-see destinations in Ho Chi Minh, Cu Chi Tunnels - one of the most famous battlegrounds of the Vietnam War. The tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerrillas as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters. The tunnel systems were of great importance to the Viet Cong in their resistance to American forces, and helped achieve ultimate military success. After the visit, come back to Saigon and have dinner at the restaurant. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

From the center city of Ho Chi Minh, travel to the Mekong Delta, the largest rice basket in Vietnam. On the way, enjoy a boat tour in Can Tho to explore the special system of canals and tributaries that closely attached with the life of local people. Day 9: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc (Breakfast, Lunch)

After breakfast, leave Hanoi for the trip to Hoa Lu after a 2 hour drive along scenic rural area. Hoalu ancient capital built more than 10 centuries ago under the reign of Dinh Dynasty and Le Dynasty is surrounded by mountains and rivers, which makes it more picturesque. There you can visit temples dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang (924-979), who united the country following its liberation from the rule of the Chinese Southern Han Dynasty, and his successor King Le Dai Hanh (979-1005). After lunch, take a sampan boat, glide along wet rice paddy fields to enjoy beautiful landscape here. Then, get on the bus leading to Hanoi. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
